Marble Water Play
If your toddler is anything like mine they will LOVE playing with water.
Its actually a god send for us as it’s guaranteed to keep William busy and active at least for a little while and its so simple! We play with water in the sink, bath, in small tubs inside the house (on the tuff tray and when I’m feeling brave) and outside in the garden.
This tuff tray activity was on a warm day near the end of summer when I fancied doing something a little different.
I mixed cornflour and water to make a mystical, magical, marble water play.
I have to own up this look is by chance. I actually added food colouring but it didn’t take as wasn’t bright enough on the tray, but it didn’t matter as look how gorgeous it was just using cornflour and water.

There were so many swirls and it looked so dreamy!
William went ‘ooohhhhhh’ when he saw it and was soon swirling his hands around the water. His chalks were also on the tuff tray and he enjoyed playing a game of hide and seek with them! he loves to find things does this little guy.

That face is his ‘I’m talking it all in’ concentrated face 😉
Have you experimented with cornflour and water before? What other ways could we use this in our play? Can’t wait to hear your ideas! DM me on Instagram and I will be sure to get back to you.
For my lates play ideas see below, I update my Instagram daily with different activities and play hacks. See you there and happy playing, Caroline x
