Cheerio Threading

In the past I’ve written about our activity of threading pasta onto straws.

This activity is the step up for when your toddler has improved fine motor skills.

Using play doh to hold the dry spaghetti strands in place, you can provide your little with a bowl of cereal hoops to thread over the spaghetti.

Ohh this is a tricky one! It takes a steady hand, some great hand eye coordination and some patience!

Some of the times I supported William by gently guiding his hands and other times he wanted to do it by himself. He did get a little frustrated sometimes, other times he got it threaded on right away.

Of course the big perk of this activity is he got to eat a bowl of cheerios which I think was the highlight of his day!
