Building The Farm Tuff Tray

Ok so setting up elaborate tuff tray play isn’t my thing.

I mean I LOVE seeing them on Instagram but I’m just not that creative!

So for this simple tuff tray play I dubbed ‘Building the Farm’ I used a few bits from around the house.

1. Tractors
2. A tin of hard black teas to resemble mud
3. Wooden farm and some animals (I couldn’t find our pack of animals so could only find a pig, sheep and duck lol)
4. Fake grass and fence
5. Some cars and plastic eggs

I mean what even id this? I have no idea haha!

I’ll be honest with you William didn’t play with his for ages as suspected. Role play and small world just aren’t this thing right now.

that’s ok, and generally I follow his lead on play. but every now and again I try something different because as he changes and develops so do his tastes and the way he plays.

Oh and here’s a tip, I also added a small bowl of water for the animals to drink from. William added the black beans making the water go black. Fine if we weren’t in the living room with light sofas. I almost gave my husband a heart attack 😉
