Fruit Discovery Basket
Looking for a simple activity for your baby or toddler?
Look no further than your fruit bowl.
My go to activity when William was younger was to present him with a basket of fruit or vegetables.
For a little they are a fantastic experience. They get to explore different textures, smells and colours. Older ones may also want to have a little taste 😉

In this basket I presented William with bananas, oranges, pears, lemons, apples, limes and strawberries.
One way we have extended the play opportunity as he’s got older he enjoys washing the fruit. When I say wash I mean dump heavy handed into a bowl then ask me to dry them! 😉 So yeah, do keep that in mind if you want to eat the fruit later on!

Mix it up with whatever fruit or vegetables you have in the house and talk to your child as they explore them.
“This carrot is orange and feels bumpy”.
“This pear is smooth and green”.
Simple vocabulary and conversation will really help your little one develop.
