Simple Colour Sorting
Colour sorting activities are so much fun for kiddies.
Luckily for us parents, they are also one of the easiest play and learning set ups ever!
For this simple colour sorting and classification activity I laid out 3 pieces of paper with matching coloured lids. I am collecting these lids like a new obsession now hehe!

William’s task was to put the correct coloured lids on each piece of paper.
He really enjoyed this, well for around 40 seconds 😉
He particularly liked putting a lid on the wrong paper, then telling himself ‘no’ very seriously and putting it on the correct colour.
The great thing about these activities is you can do them over and over again and mix them up depending on your child’s abilities at the moment. Start out with 2 colours and build up. Want to make it a real challenge? Pick one colour but use different shades. That will really get their brains working!
If you’ve enjoyed this activity or any on the blog, please let me know by stopping by my instagram, I would love to hear from you!
