Metal Sensory Tray

Babies and toddlers alike will love this metal sensory tray activity.

It takes just a few minutes to set up and if its a hit why not leave it out a few days?

I used a tuff tray but you could just as easily use a normal tray, a table or just pop the items on the floor.

All you need is, you guessed it, anything that is metal!

I started off by placing foil on the tuff tray (hello Costco and thank you for your large reams of foil!).

I then raided the house for anything foil I could find!

Bowls, scoops, a teapot, sieve, pot and I added white beans as William was past the mouthing stage at this point (he was around 22 months).

it really crated a calming sensory play and the sound of the beans on the metal was so therapeutic.

We have done this activity severe times since and I really wish I had done it before when William was a baby as its such a wonderful sensory experience they can grow with.

Happy playing, Caroline x
