Pink Sink Play

There is hands down nothing William enjoys more than playing with water in the sink.

He’s 27 months at the moment and not a day passes where he’s not stood at the sink putting his toys in and out.

Some days it will be a quick 5-10 minute play but other days, other glorious days we’ve had up to 45 minutes play! I haven’t known what to do with myself 😉

It’s one of the few times that he will play independently. I leave him to it (though of course I stay in the kitchen to supervise) and I crack on with prepping dinner, cleaning the kitchen, or having a cup of tea.

So on with the show what is pink sink play?

It’s simply pink water, added to your sink or any bowl (though a white or clear one is best to really see the colour) and some pink toys or any pink bits and bobs you can find dotted around to play with.

I used this food colouring which I really recommend and use in all our play. The colour is called ‘Coral’.

In our case for our pink sink play set up I found pink Pom Poms, scoops and tubs.

As you can see William had the best time playing. It’s so simple and perfect for rainy days too for all the water loving kiddies!

Does your little one enjoy sink play? I would love to hear what they enjoy doing, I’m always looking for new ideas! DM me on Instagram here 🙂
