Water Beads and Scooping
I had never even heard of water beads until I found myself on Instagram.
They are fantastic and can be used over and over again.
In a nutshell, add some water and watch the beads grow in size over the following hours. They are a fantastic sensory activity and most children can’t resist squishing the beads in-between their hands.
To introduce them to William I kept it simple. A container with water beads, some scoops and a few bowls.

One thing I learnt is water beads are very bouncy!
Before I knew it they were bouncing all over my living room!
They are also not good if your toddler likes to put things in their mouth. William doesn’t really but I still watched him like a hawk.

A friend tried them and her little one tried to eat them so they were put away until she’s a bit older!
So this was a super simple toddler play set up – water beads, bowls and scoops. as always though, simple seems to win out and I’m looking forward to more water bead play.
